Which size do I need?

- Your monthly bill Sets the size
What you ticked may need more than our largest package, the 20 kW. We size bigger systems with you at the assessment, and price them on request.
The 20 kW kit runs on three-phase supply. If your home is single-phase, we'll look at the 16 kW or another set-up at the assessment.
Machines and cold rooms vary a lot, so we measure their real load at the assessment.

How we worked it out
- Power at once. We add up the typical running power of what you ticked. Big appliances seldom run together, so the biggest counts in full and the others at half. Then we keep at least a fifth of the inverter spare, so it never runs flat out.
- Battery. The typical use of what you ticked over the time you chose, against about 90% of the battery's size, which is the part a lithium battery is set up to use.
- Your bill. A bigger bill usually means more use during the day, which more panels can cover. It sets the smallest size we would suggest.
- Every home is different. These are typical ratings. Your roof, your DB board and how you really use power decide the final size, and we check all three at the free site assessment.
A guide from typical appliance ratings, not a quote. Your free site assessment confirms the size.

Questions people ask before booking
Is the site assessment really free?
Yes. We visit, look at your roof, your DB board and how you use electricity, and recommend a size. You then get your price as cash, subscription and finance.
What's included in the cash price?
Equipment, installation and the solar COC. A home electrical COC is not included if you do not already have one. All prices are subject to the site assessment.
How does the subscription work?
You pay a monthly fee, from R1 490 for the 5 kW system, instead of buying the system outright. The system remains the property of the service provider, who installs, maintains and insures it. The fee may escalate, it is subject to credit approval, and T&Cs apply.
Can I finance the system?
Yes. Finance is available over 60 months, subject to credit approval, and you own the system. Monthly amounts on this site are the "from" figures for each package.
Which size do I need?
It depends on your roof, your monthly bill and what you want to keep running during an outage. As a guide, 5 kW suits an average home, 8 to 10 kW a larger home, 12 to 16 kW a large home or light commercial use, and 20 kW full backup for a big home or a business. We confirm it at the assessment.
Which areas do you cover?
Roodepoort and the West Rand first, then greater Johannesburg. We are based at Unit A2, 255 Nadine Street, Robertville.
